She earned her dental doctorate in 1990 from the Baylor College of Dentistry and subsequently completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program with the U.S. Army.
After graduating, Dr. Ramal served the dental needs of U.S. service personnel and their dependents in Oklahoma and Germany before leaving the military to join private practices. After seven years of honing her skills in family practice and cosmetic dentistry, she joined our Barefield Pediatric Dentistry team.

If you haven’t yet found a pediatric dentist near Wolf Creek, you might feel overwhelmed by the many options. Plenty of parents wonder how to choose the best provider to meet their child’s needs, but before you can decide, you must identify the most important priorities. For example, do you need someone in-network with your insurance? Are there certain services your child requires that not all pediatric dentists provide?
Answering these types of questions can help you narrow your search to find the right dentist to meet your family’s unique needs.
If your child hasn’t had a checkup yet and you’re avoiding scheduling a visit because you’re worried about the cost, our team has your back! It can vary somewhat based on your kid’s unique circumstances, but typically, you can expect a basic visit to range from $50 to $200 near Wolf Creek.
You might pay more or less, depending on your child’s dental condition, whether you carry dental insurance, and if other services are required to address any areas of concern, like thinning enamel or infected gums.
All dentists must meet certain criteria to be licensed to practice on patients. For example, they must first earn a bachelor’s degree before achieving a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from one of more than 70 institutions accredited by the American Dental Association.
Then, to become a specialist in pediatric services, providers must complete an additional residency or training program and pass both national and state board exams for licensure. At our office near Wolf Creek, several of our providers are Board-Certified through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and have demonstrated a commitment to continuing education.
If you’re hesitating to schedule an appointment for your child because you’re concerned you can’t afford our services, we’re here to help! We happily accept many PPO and HMO dental insurance plans as well as Medicaid to help reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.
We also understand that not everyone carries a policy, so we have also partnered with CareCredit to offer low-to-no interest flexible financial payment plans. If your application is approved, you can divvy up the total invoice for your child’s visit into more manageable installments over a designated period.
