
Dr. Donna BarefieldDr. Barefield is a graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry. She has practiced Pediatric Dentistry in the Duncanville area since 1982. She maintains membership in multiple professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Paul P. Taylor Association of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society, M.C. Cooper Dental Society, and the American College of Dentists. As a Diplomate of the Board of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, she has earned the highest distinction in this specialty. She is honored to serve as an Oral Board Examiner for the AAPD. In addition, she is a spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Dallas County Dental Society and has represented both organizations on television and radio programs. Dr. Barefield’s volunteer activities include being a provider at H.I.S Bridgebuilders Dental Clinic, Christina’s Smile, Give Kids a Smile, and Texas Mission of Mercy. A married mother of two, Dr. Barefield is involved in church activities at the Concord Baptist Church and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Dallas. She enjoys traveling, jazz music, and sewing. |
Dr. Sarita Shah JohnAfter graduating from the University of California, Davis, in 1993, Sarita Shah John went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at University of Pacific College of Dentistry in 1996. She completed her residency training in Pediatric Dentistry from University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, where she received extensive training in oral conscious sedation and hospital dentistry. Her training included rotations at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. Dr. Shah is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and has been practicing dentistry for children since 1996. Dr Shah joined Barefield Pediatric Dentistry in 2004. In addition to private practice, Dr. Shah is a part-time assistant clinical professor at Baylor College of Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Shah was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area with her parents and younger brother. She was married in 2004, after which she relocated to the Dallas Metroplex. She and her husband are active members of the MarThoma Church of Dallas and have a heart for mentoring the church youth. In her spare time, Dr. Shah enjoys Middle Eastern and Indian Dance, water parks, cooking and entertaining, and traveling with her husband. |

Dr. Janet RamlalDr. Janet Ramlal has more than sixteen years of experience in the dental field. Following her graduation from Baylor Dental College in 1990, she was accepted into a one year program of “Advanced Education in General Dentistry” with the U.S. Army. Upon completion of the residency program, she served the dental needs of U.S. servicemen and women and their dependants in Oklahoma and Germany for another four years. After leaving the military, Dr. Ramlal practiced family and cosmetic dentistry in Irving, Texas for the next seven years. In addition to her background in general dentistry, Dr. Ramlal is experienced in caring for the dental needs of younger children as well as teenagers and young adults. She has four children of her own. When she has a spare moment, she enjoys reading, music, and time with friends. |

Dr. Keysra WashingtonDr. Keysra Washington is a native of Bolivia, North Carolina. She attended the School of Dentistry at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee and completed her training in 2003. During her postdoctoral training at Howard University, she received the Lillian J. Reynolds Memorial Award for high scholastic achievement and proficiency in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Washington is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society. Currently, Dr. Washington resides in Grand Prairie with her husband Jelani and their beloved dog Joe. In her spare time, she enjoys jogging, tennis, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends. |
